UKRI Creative Industries Investor Database: A Guide for Creative Start-Ups

Connecting Creative Start-Ups with the Right Investors

UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), the Government body which directs UK research funding, has published a database of investors who are aligned with the creative industries. The database helps creative entrepreneurs, start-up founders and early-stage businesses identify investors who are aligned with their particular creative specialisms – whether that’s fashion, film, TV and video, music and radio, games, architecture or any of a range of other creative sub-sectors.

What the UKRI Creative Investor Database Includes

As noted in this UKRI post, the database provides:

  • a comprehensive list of investors within the creative industries
  • information about the creative sub-sectors they invest in
  • insights into investment stages the investors are open to
  • details about the size of investment the investors are looking to provide, the investment regions they work in, and any investment requirements they have.

This helps founders and other key stakeholders within the creative industries understand the funding landscape.

You can explore the database in detail on the UKRI Business Connect website.
