Russell IP’s Iain Russell Coordinates Free ‘Ask Me Anything’ Meetings For UK Final Diploma Exams

Russell IP - Other IP Services

Russell IP’s Iain Russell has, following a suggestion from CIPA Informals, recently coordinated a series of free online ‘Ask Me Anything’ meetings to help trainee patent attorneys prepare for the upcoming Final Diploma exams to qualify as Chartered (UK) Patent Attorneys.

The meetings were each around an hour long and were not intended to be revision sessions, but to provide an informal forum for the speaker to share a few tips and for attendees to ask any questions on the exams.

The sessions were as follows:

  • FD1 (Advanced IP Law and Practice). Speaker: Richard Davis.
  • FD2 (Drafting of Specifications). Speaker: Iain Russell.
  • FD3 (Amendment of Specifications). Speaker: Tibor Gold.
  • FD4 (Infringement and Validity). Speaker: Nicholas Fox.

Thanks to Richard, Tibor and Nicholas for taking the time to host their sessions.

A blog post on the series of meetings can be found at The Yellow Sheet (the official blog of the Informals Committee) here.

Iain’s notes from the FD2 session are available to download for free here.
